Creativity in Motion by Limkokwing University 2015

_SAM6558
The 'Creativity in Motion' fashion show by Limkokwing University happened on the 2nd of July @ Starhill Gallery. Such an extravagant event is held annually to allow their graduating students from the Faculty of Fashion and Lifestyle Creativity showcase their best work to the public, potential recruiters, family and friends.

The glamorous atmosphere was filled with many talented and beautiful people. We were definitely in it for a fabulous night of Fashion, Music and Art!

Lights, Camera, ACTION!

My personal favorite of the night! Elaborate and sensuous.

In all honesty, if I was there without knowing all these beautiful designs were by the students of Limkokwing, I'd probably think they were all designed by renowned fashion designers. Every piece had its own unique recipe, very well-thought-out designs with meticulous details. By Limkokwing giving these aspiring fashion designers the chance to stage their work has immediately help them open up the passage to many great opportunities.

I feel immensely proud of everyone who was involved in this production as they've truly outdone themselves with leaving the audience in awe by putting such a fantastic show! *many many applause*

Unfortunately I didn't capture all of the collections so do check out their official website for more details and pictures! CLICK ME :)

The name itself could already seep through your veins and cause instant diabetes! I'm not a sweet tooth but at times my taste buds can crave for things it shouldn't. This was really yummy if you're a fan of Nutella :) Their pancakes here are good too by the way, don't ask me how I know that *does the Ian Somehalder smirk*

New Hair @ The Met KL

Plans turned a bit topsy-turvy because of a little devil's monthly visit, even though i couldn't go through with what was supposed to be in store for me, it turned out to be a great Sunday too! Decided to not only get my hair reshaped but also color it as i'm sick of it's dullness and lack of volume.

Before this my hair was fiery red, absolutely love red hair but every time i wash my hair, i'd die a little inside as i see all that red color streaming down ma body and into the drain. The saddest part is my job doesn't make it any better as i have to frequently wash my hair.

Here are a few pictures before the hair makeover!

Look at those roots!

Ever since i discovered The Met KL Hair salon in 2013 right before chinese new year, I've been going to them for my regular haircuts and coloring and every visit is a wonderful experience. They've got excellent service and most importantly their team is well educated, so filled with passion and have many years of experience!

It's much a relief to find people whom you can trust your hair with. Trust me it's no fun if you've gotta feel doubtful about the person touching your crown, all it takes is one touch and you'd already would be able to judge if the person knows their stuff or not.

Got my haircut by Junn this time, he's such a funny person! He asked me to show this picture to my mom and say I've cut my hair short(she'd never believe that her vain daughter would do such a thing in the first place >.<). Apparently this is convincing enough to him *sweat sweat* JUNN I CAN SEE YOUR HAND (¬‿¬) so sorry we didn't get a picture together, NEXT TIME OK? hehe

I arrived at the salon looking for Teng for color consultation but she wasn't around :( (TENG if you're reading this, i miss you leh!! wuwu..)

So i got introduced to their "new" colorist...
SAM_0377
Introducing Randall Wong who is a professional hair colorist...and also the owner of the hair salon! My brain froze for a second when he mentioned that he is DE owner of The Met KL and the fact that he is also L'Oreal's National Education Manager.. and is now my colorist! Woah, felt so privileged! Definitely my lucky day!
SAM_0381
So we agreed on going lighter, but first he had to check the condition of my hair to see how far he could go with the bleaching. Apparently my hair isn't healthy enough to go too light, it's at a Medium level of healthiness(darnit, thought I could turn a complete Blondie there and then!). Anyway I got my hair bleached two rounds, my red base was getting in the way of the process so he had to improvise a little bit.

How I kept myself sane throughout those 5 hours plus sitting! Mommy was sweet to have packed some fruit salad and barley for me.. I'm so spoilt, be jealous.

After washing off and replenishing my hair with Protein by going through the easy Two-Step Protein Treatment, it was time to reveal...

The gorgeous results!

Different shades of brown were used to create this look! The color varies under different lighting!

Thank you Sifu Randall for the gorgeous color :)

Chuan, who previously was my hair dresser! He happened to be there to help out with a photoshoot. It was soooo good seeing him again after months. Miss our haircut + chit chat sessions!
p.s. no editing needed, don't we look fabulous?
SAM_0391
Wefie time with the Boss! It was my pleasure meeting you, till my next visit :)

Basically it was one of those sit-until-butt-tear kinda day! Beauty comes with pain, but totally worth it.

I also bought new hair care products because mine's finishing! They sell a wide range of REDKEN and Pureology hair care.

SAM_0506

I've been using Pureology's shampoo and conditioner for months now and it's so far the best! It definitely works well in retaining the hair color and leaving your hair soft and smooth after. This collection that I have is for colored and damaged hair, so its job is to help heal and strengthen! A little squeeze goes a long way as its formula is pretty concentrated. The middle bottle is a leave-in formula to prevent breakage and help strengthen the hair, yes I'm on my way to healthier hair! Hoorayyy!

Let them transform your look!
