It was a long day ahead of us and therefore the first thing we did was filled our tummies with some breakfast! So Min our awesome tour guide brought us to one of Singapore's famous chicken lice! Ehem, i mean Rice :P (you'll probably get the joke if you are a Phua Chu Kang fan!)
The shopping mall itself is old and quite rundown but the food court was just filled with people! Especially the chicken rice stall, LOOK THERE'S A QUEUE! Must be good, must be good :D
The steam and roasted chicken was really tasty, Delicious for real! The char siew and siew yok wasn't too great unfortunately.
I loved how they gave pickled vege and the soup was just slurp-licious!
Once breakfast was in the tanks, we made our way to Sentosa Island for some fun with sea creatures!
Before stepping into Singapore's S.E.A Aquarium, we got greeted by a Minion and a talking ship!
Follow me as we walk into the blue blue ocean ƪ(ړײ)ƪ
My apologies if the pictures aren't very clear, our photographer hasn't learnt how to take "underwater" pictures lol.
The starfish is a rather hard creature! I'm a bit cautious when it comes to touching living things underwater.. yeah my expression is a LIE.
Shark eggs! Amazing balls..
BAPPLE!!! stalker alert!
papa nemo will be happy to know.. HE'S ALIVE!
Found this picture hilarious! Jellyfish riding, YEEHAW!
Hi Min you're in my picture :P
credits to Kabby's Canon compact camera :)
The only thing that really amazed me was the giant aquarium. I think the best way to really enjoy the view of the underwater world would be in comfort, which is totally possible as there is a restaurant overlooking the giant aquarium! Ocean Restaurant by Car Cora is located inside the SEA Aquarium. My next visit maybe? :)
The girls ditched us for USS while Yang and I continued our shopping at VivoCity and Min went home to rest.
Jamie's Italian @ VivoCity
I almost got to try his food when i was in Sydney last year but it was fully booked. The outlet in Vivocity was pretty empty.. I guess singaporeans prefer the wanton mee! Or perhaps it was neither lunch nor dinner time. Since we were on holiday, there was no proper eating time!
Love its cozy atmosphere, brings out that homie vibe!
tired faces :(
"THIS WILL DO THE TRICK!" says Papa Americano
Special of the day was their Pork Knuckle so we had to try!
Tender goodness! We pigged out, literally ;)
CONQUERED!
The day wouldn't have been complete without some sort of dessert! Yang and I met up with Jon, it has been awhile since I last saw him :) A great catch up session over these delicious japanese icy desserts at St. Marc Cafe @ Vivocity!
He's one of the few who actually kept in touch after high school :) so glad!
Look guys you're on candid camera! hehe! Hope to see you again soon jon :)
After bidding our goodbyes, Min came to pick us up for dinner! We drove to some food court outside town just for the famous Bak Chor Mee he kept harping about!
Extremely black char kuey teow, pucat prawn mee and 3 DElicious bowls of bak chor mee!
The bak chor mee really damn syok! And for the first time i loved drinking sugar cane juice, probably cause it's pure juice, no added syrup.
Min brought us to 1-Altitude @ 1 Raffles Place for a round of drinks. The bar is on level 63, pretty damn high huh? That's not the best part though, it stands at a peak of 282 meters along with a breathtaking 360-degree view of Singapore! It was a waste because we didn't bring down the DSLR thinking they wouldn't allow it in but there were so many people with their DSLR's.. so pfft (⌣́_⌣̀) to that.
Oh well, thankfully for Kabby's Canon we managed to capture our moments!
came back for a midnight swim with the girls, what a pleasant way to end the day!
The last part of this trip will be coming up soon...
